ORTHOPAEDIC VISITS
Hand surgery and orthopaedic trauma specialist visits are performed at the studio.
The patient undergoes an initial specialist visit and then is followed carefully for any subsequent and periodic check-ups as needed.
All illnesses related to the musculoskeletal system and affecting the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles and nerves are treated. In particular, Prof. Calori and his team specialise in all diagnostic and therapeutic applications regarding acute trauma or that require joint prostheses including the hip, knee, shoulder, ankle, elbow and small joints.
Given their great amount of experience, the most severe complications are especially treated both for fractures that did not heal and have significant necrosis and/or bone loss and for prosthesis that have been mobilized or that have become septic.
These severe problems will be completely diagnosed here and a valid therapy path will be defined in complete compliance with accredited scientific guidelines.
PHYSIATRIC VISITS
Physiatrics is a specialised medical field that exists throughout the world and is also called Physical and Rehabilitative Medicine.
We focus on the interdisciplinary nature of the physiatrist, which is perhaps the aspect that most characterizes the medical specialist or physiatrist. In fact, rehabilitative medicine operates in trauma sequelae, orthopaedic and rheumatologic illness and problems deriving from them can benefit from rehabilitative medicine but the fundamental and proprietary principle behind every rehabilitative medicine intervention is the diagnosis, which must be done according to traditional medical rules such as patient history, which must be accurate, general objective exam, specialist objective exam, clinical knowledge, symptomatology, biomechanical and functional anatomy, laboratory and instrumental exams.
A certain number of other professionals at the Calori studio offer non-surgical treatment options for orthopaedic problems such as:
- osteopathy
- physiotherapy
- kinesiology
- occupational therapy
- podology
